Sacramento Regional Fire/EMS Communications Center Completes a Series of TSOD Team Building and Diversity Training Programs

(Sacramento, California) Training Services On Demand, Inc. (TSOD) provided a series of MBTI®-based Team Building and Discover Diversity workshops for dispatchers and other professionals at the Sacramento Regional Fire/EMS Communications Center.
TSOD's personality-based team building program clarifies team dynamics by identifying the traits that enhance or detract from team trust, respect, and camaraderie. Participants engage in small-group exercise that clarify how members communicate, make decisions, and organize their workloads differently. TSOD's "Discover Diversity" workshop uses shot, poignant video clips and audience reactions to explore diversity from a completely new perspective. Perhaps most importantly, the workshop explores the dark corners of discrimination -- the often unintentional words, actions, and omissions that create an undesired atmosphere of divisiveness.
The Sacramento Regional Fire/EMS Communications Center (SRFECC) is the third largest fire dispatch center in the State of California, dispatching over 150,000 incidents annually. SRFECC is organized as a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) and is supported by the fire agencies it serves. Together with those agencies, SRFECC provides fire protection and emergency medical service (EMS) dispatching for nearly all of Sacramento County and parts of Placer County, serving 1.3 million residents in a region of more 1,000 square miles.
