U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Benefits from TSOD's MBTI®-Based Team Building Workshop

June 7, 2011

(Atlanta, Georgia)   Training Services On Demand (TSOD: www.tsod.com) provided state-of-the-art team building services to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Health Eligibility Center only days after the conclusion of Memorial Day Observances.

"It is our profound aspiration that boosting this team to a higher potential will have a beneficial effect for our Veterans," said Frank Whyte, chief instructor for TSOD and facilitator for the Atlanta workshop.

"The workshop builds team dynamics by helping members understand various communication styles, decision-making methods, organizational traits, and learning types. TSOD helps teams understand how these things differ from one member to another--then goes another step.... helping the team engage all of these orchestral voices to enable them to work at their highest potential."

The United States has the most comprehensive system of assistance for veterans of any nation in the world.  This benefits system traces its roots back to 1636, when the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony were at war with the Pequot Indians.  The Pilgrims passed a law which stated that disabled soldiers would be supported by the colony.  The establishment of the Veterans Administration came in 1930 when Congress authorized the President to "consolidate and coordinate Government activities affecting war veterans."  The three component agencies became bureaus within the Veterans Administration.  The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) was established as a Cabinet-level position on March 15, 1989.  President Bush hailed the creation of the new Department saying, "There is only one place for the veterans of America, in the Cabinet Room, at the table with the President of the United States of America."

TSOD is a top-tier training provider, offering fully bundled workshop rates.  Corporate, trade association and government teams benefit from a learning experience free from erratic travel, instructor, or materials tack-on fees.  A GSA Contract Holder, TSOD's most recent GSA Report Card yielded a perfect score.  The company has not missed a single training program--for any reason--in more than a decade.  TSOD's most popular workshops this year include Time Management, Stress Management, Business Writing, Media Relations, Presentation Skills, Negotiation Skills, Team Leadership, Workplace Harassment Prevention, Diversity Training, and Convention Mini-Seminars.
