(Washington, DC)   A successful year in business requires a substantial contribution to the community. That's our philosophy, and we're sticking to it.

On December 13, Training Services On Demand transferred a truckload of new bikes and safety helmets to U.S. Marine Sgt. Alan T. Drayton, Sgt. Edward Esposti, and Cpl. Brian Jardine. According to Sgt. Drayton (pictured receiving a bike), these were the only bicycles contributed to the regional Toys for Tots program.

"Imagine your reaction when you find a new bike under your Christmas tree," Sgt. Drayton said in a radio interview. "It makes a huge difference in a young person's holiday."

Through the year, Training Services On Demand ensures that its success is mirrored in its community outreach. In 2002, the company made substantial contributions to the Humane Society and the Salvation Army, in addition to Toys for Tots.

"The bike promotion is special," said TSOD founder Frank Whyte (pictured at far right). "This is our chance to give a young person something significant that they wouldn't have had otherwise."

TSOD also uses its annual bicycle contribution to encourage other growing businesses to give something back to the community.

"Success in business carries an obligation," Whyte says. "If you're not giving something back, you're not part of the true American success story."
