Stress Management Training Synopsis
Section 1: Understanding Stress (:50)Welcome to the wonderful world of anxiety, worry, pressure, and tension. It's also the world of motivation and survival. Understanding stress is pivotal to managing it, and this learning session sheds light on stress, stressors andmost importantlyyour personal preferences for selecting stress. You'll complete a scientific assessment to identify your stress level, discover the benefits of a stress diary, and consider the impact of "change" on your peace of mind. By the end of the session, you'll know what parts of your life need first aid, and we'll be ready to talk about tonics.
Section 2: Strategies for Stress Survival (1:10)Stress has links to everything from heartburn and cold sores to asthma and cancer. Stress can even worsen the effects of memory loss as we age. Stress management isn't just nifty, it's potentially life-saving. In this session, you'll learn more than 20 individual approaches to stress mitigation, ranging from physical techniques to mental methods to environmental adaptations. Who would have thought that music, sunlight, chocolate, and Valentine cards had so much to do with our ability to live a long and happy life?
Section 3: Coping with Conflict (:50)Rounding-out this comprehensive workshop is an insightful exploration of conflict, one of the foremost sources of workplace stress. You'll learn your natural reaction to conflictyour conflict modeand find-out how various situations might be suited to a very different tactic. This discussion by itself cools a significant amount of team tension by providing real-world solutions to one of the workplace's top breeding grounds for unnecessary stress.
Conclusions & CommitmentsBefore calling it a day, you'll finish-up your Action Plan for minimizing stress. And to make sure you're on the right track, we'll reveal the "Great Eight:" the eight habit patterns common to people who score lowest on the stress test and highest on the contentment scale.
